My experience at Nagomi-Ryokan Yuu Hotel was quite disappointing. The room was cold and lacked sufficient bedding, making sleep difficult. Access to shared bathroom facilities felt insecure, and the noisy environment from outside added to the discomfort.

The futons felt flattened, lacking the firmness needed for a good night's sleep. Constantly removing shoes to access my room became a hassle, and the low slanted ceilings in the attic room might be a struggle for taller guests.

Authentic experience with a touch of modernity

I really enjoyed my stay at this traditional ryokan, particularly the peaceful atmosphere that made it feel authentic. The tatami mat floors and room size were a nice change from cramped hotels. The location was quiet yet conveniently close to key attractions, making my outings easy to manage. One thing to note is that the futon was a bit thin for my liking, which made sleeping less comfortable than expected.

The triple room was gorgeous with a traditional vibe and nostalgic views. Super cozy too, and I slept well—definitely better than my last ryokan experience! The outdoor bath was a fun bonus. Although the private bathroom was nice, the room felt a bit cramped for three. Still, the warmth of the atmosphere really stood out!
